The course next heads onto Stairway to Heaven Trail, traveling steeply up one-half mile to the top, turning right onto Hollow Rock Trail, turning right on the loop for .75 mile around and back down Hollow Rock Trail to Grindstone Trail to the finish. The 10K course travels up Grindstone Trail to the top and straight across and down Prison Camp Trail to the bottom, making a sharp left hand turn up Hollow Rock Trail, turning right traveling down Grindstone Trail, turning left at the campground and over to the Stairway to Heaven Trail traveling steeply up to the top, turning right onto Hollow Rock Trail to the loop, turning right and around for .75 mile around and back down Hollow Rock Trail to Grindstone Trail, turning left to the finish at the picnic shelter.
